The following is a list of core equipment dedicated for use in the Quave Research Group in phytochemistry, microbiology and cell culture laboratory spaces.

  • Agilent 1260 Infinity analytical/semi-preparative HPLC system with autosampler, diode array detector (DAD), fluorescence detector, and fraction collector is used to: generate phytochemical profiles for extracts; batch-to-batch standardization protocols; isolate individual compounds of interest; to conduct analytical and semi-preparative scale chromatography;
  • Agilent 1260 Infinity Preparative HPLC system with a custom-built large scale open bed fraction collector is used to isolate individual compounds or proteins of interest
  • Teledyne ISCO Combiflash Rf+ chromatography system with DAD and ELSD is used for large scale (up to 20 grams) rough separation of complex crude extracts in preparation for more refined chromatography
  • JASCO Supercritical Fluid Extractor (CO2 extraction setup with co-solvent and six cyclone fraction collection vessels)
  • Biotek Cytation 3 Cell Imaging Multimode Reader reads microplate optical density, luminescence, fluorescence (monochromator) and can be used for microscopy imaging
  • Brandtech LHS liquid handling system for medium to high throughput assay setup (96-384 well plates)
